Look and feel young at any age!

Look and Feel Young at any age…

Did you know that aging is optional? You can choose to become younger by years or decades by simply making changes to your lifestyle. Unlike anti-aging creams and other artificial treatments, natural anti-aging treatments are more holistic, encompassing both the mind and the body. Here are a few tips to an everlasting inside and out glow.

  1. Keep Yourself Well Hydrated! Remember that your body composition is up to 70-80% water. Water washes out accumulated body toxins, keeps your skin healthy, helps in digestion and blood circulation, and more. Make sure to have 8 – 12 cups per day!

  2. Spice up your life: Herbs and spices have been used as flavour enhancers and remedies since many years. Start your day with some zaatar such as a gluten-free Zaatar Granola Mix mixed with some Greek yogurt. Zaatar has shown to be beneficial in soothing bronchitis and intestinal problems. Add cardamom to your brown rice dishesto alleviate symptoms of constipation, and last but not least enjoy sip on some chamomile and turmeric herbal teas to help reduce gut and joint inflammations.

  3. Have an Antioxidant Rich DietAntioxidants keep your cells healthy and youthful, which helps delay or prevent age-related diseases, and relieves stress. Therefore, make sure to use plant-based oils in your dishes and cooking such as extra virgin avocado, olive and coconut oils not only do they prevent free radical formation, but they are also anti-inflammatory and rich in vitamin E. Enjoy our ruch Gluten-free Granola and Berry Muesli mixes, or have a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables such as berries, apricots, plum, broccoli, spinach, beets.

  4. Eat your vitamin E and C: these vitamins are known for their benefits for skin health and appearance as they are used in various anti-aging creams. Including Vitamin E and C rich foods in your diet is an effective way to help your cells to regenerate. Vitamin E is abundant in raw nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.) and seeds (chia, flaxseeds, …). Vitamin C is found in bright coloured fruits and veggies such as kiwi, oranges, bell peppers, organic tomatoes and organic tomato sauce that also happens to be rich in lycopene (a powerful antioxidant).

  5. Keep your Gut HealthyIf you have an unhealthy gut it can have a big impact on our overall health and especially the appearance of your skin, including acne, inflammationand eczema. Gut Inflammation is common among people with gluten-free intolerance and celiac disease, replace gluten containing products with gluten-free alternatives such as quinoa, organic gluten free oat flakes, chickpea and pea-based pastas. Include probiotics (such as kimchi, yogurt and kefir) and prebiotic rich foods (such as lentils and beans) in your diet and practice mindful breathing and meditation as they have shown to reduce stress and improve gut health.

  6. Be Active! If a fitness class or a structured sport is too heavy for you, include one hour of daily moderate physical activity such as walking or gardening to improve your circulation, and boost your metabolic rate. Take the stairs rather than the elevator whenever you can or go for a walk instead of watching TV.

  7. Maintain a Healthy Balanced DietSince skipping meals can lead to weight-gain, try to consume 3 balanced meals and 2 healthy snacks daily. Cut down on processed foods, such as fast food, fries, and sugary drinks, and try to include wholesome, organic and rich in fibre meals; some studies have shown they contribute to improved digestion, and heart health.
