Against antibiotic infections

The usual way to try and kill the pathogens present in our food is for the farmers to feed their animals living in overcrowded, stressful confinement, antibiotics in order to prevent them from getting sick.

However, antibiotics don’t kill all the pathogens.  The surviving germs multiply and become antibiotic-resistant. Once antibiotic resistant, these germs can generate serious infections to animals and people.
They even lead to dangerous viruses and bacteria.

Another reason that farmers in conventional agriculture give antibiotics to their animals is to make them gain weight in a faster way.

In order not to have to give antibiotics to their animals, organic farmers use holistic natural measures to maintain their animals healthy and infections free, keeping the ones that eat them healthy as well.
